DUTY INSTRUCTIONS ON A DANCE NIGHT – FRONTIER TWIRLERS
HOST/HOSTESS :
Arrive no later than 7:15pm (hall should be open);
Set up the chairs around the hall if not already done.
Get out the club tablecloth, the dance price sign, the “No Flash Photography” sign, club sign-in board and the Guest Book from the kitchen cupboard and place these items on the small table by the front door.
Get the host/hostess badges out of the kitchen cupboard; remember to put them back before going home.
Welcome all square dancers and ask the guests to sign the guest book; Watch for latecomers so that you can personally greet them after they enter. Keep an eye open for early leavers, so that you can thank them for coming.
Promptly, as soon as the dance ends attend the door to thank our guests for coming.

HALL CLEANUP :
(Two people make this job easier)
As dancers begin to exit and once the tables have been put back in place, please sweep or dry mop the main floor and side areas. Use the carpet sweeper to clean all carpeted areas, including the kitchen and side entrance, saving the front and vestibule entrance for last. Please avoid cleaning the front entrance until all guests have left. Cleaning tools, including mops, brooms, a dustpan, and the carpet sweeper, are stored in the cupboard to the left of the entry door.
NOTE: When cleaning the main floor, be sure to move all chairs away from the walls to sweep underneath and then return them to their original positions. For special events, please also assist with taking down decorations.

KITCHEN:
Arrive by 7:45 if you are not planning to dance Plus.
On a Non-Party Night -
Water Only
-Fill one side of the blue water jug and set it on the pass through with 5 or 6 mugs.
-Put out a bowl with some candies in it and a dish for the wrappers, Kleenex box and President's Draw box.
-When washing the blue water jug, dry and leave the lids down inside the cooler.
-Wash any mugs that have been used and put them back in the cupboard.
Party Nights:
-Make coffee and tea according to instructions on the inside of the kitchen cupboard door; full details as to amounts etc are indicated.
-Arrange for food table(s) to be set up during the last tip, cover with table cloths (if desired) and set out goodies, napkins and paper plates when necessary.
-Remain after to clean-up the kitchen and put everything away.
-Please be sure to dry the tea and coffee urns before putting them away.
Take the used tea towels, etc home to wash and return them to the cupboard at the next dance or bring your own.
The following applies on any dance night:
Take home the garbage for disposal at your home.
Please leave the kitchen clean and tidy.
