Frontier Twirlers Club History
History and Background:
The club was founded in 1959 by members of the Independent Order of Foresters. Archie Mair, a teacher and caller, led the group during its early years. The club badge was designed by Ken Hill, and Bert Hayward served as the first President. The original dance venue was the CCF Hall on Richmond Road.
Dance Dates
Original Schedule: Dances were held on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month, starting at 8:00 PM. The dance season began on the 3rd Saturday of September and ended on the 3rd Saturday of May.
Current Schedule: Dances now begin with Plus dancing from 7:30 to 8:00 PM, followed by Mainstream dancing until 10:00 PM.

Club Outfit
The club outfit was adopted in May 1988, featuring black and gold as the official colors.
Ladies' Attire
Skirt: Black (any style), with the optional "gold twirler man" symbol embroidered or appliqued at the 2 o'clock position on the right side (when looking down).
Bodice: Black with gold trim, allowing for any style of sleeve or neckline. Sleeves may be black or gold.
Accessories: Gold belt (optional); black or gold crinoline; black shoes.
Men's Attire
Shirt: Black, with the optional "gold twirler man" symbol embroidered or appliqued on the back yoke.
Slacks: Black, with the optional "gold twirler man" symbol embroidered or appliqued on the left ankle.
